Joining Aarhus University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor
I am very happy to share that I will join BiRC, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, as a tenure-track Assistant Professor on December 1, 2026.
My research will continue to focus on structural variation, with particular attention to how frequently structural mutations arise, why some genomic regions rearrange repeatedly, and how these mutational processes shape genome evolution. I look forward to establishing MOSAIC Lab, combining long-read sequencing, comparative genomics, and population genetics to address these questions.
I am grateful to Omer Gokcumen, my colleagues and collaborators at Buffalo, and everyone who has supported me along the way. I am excited for this next chapter and to be returning to Europe.
